I highly recommend Dr. Paul and his team at Animal Outpatient Surgery. The space is clean/sanitary, inviting and the staff make you feel welcome and at home with the care for your furbaby. Dr. Paul is one of a kind with his gentle demeanor and honest in his findings which he communicates effectively and humbly as if your pet was his own. I've taken my boxer girl to Dr. Paul on multiple occasions and would never go anywhere else. I have deep appreciation, respect and love for Dr. Paul and Tina. You will not be disappointed in choosing their care.

Dr. Farrell and his entire team are beyond outstanding. They are compassionate and understanding. Dr. Farrell walked us through every step of the procedure and any possible complications. He eased our nerves on a surgery for our 11 yr old German shepherd. The prices are super reasonable and affordable. They all just want the best for your animal and treats them like their own. I will recommend them to anyone I know who's animal needs to have a surgical procedure.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I have been a veterinarian for over 27 years and EVEN I took my dog to Dr. Farrell for surgery! I love Surgery. I perform a lot of surgery all the time. When I discovered a very involved, very complex mass in a very tough spot on my own pet, I loaded up my geriatric Pitbull-Rottie mix and we headed on down the road to see Dr. Farrell. He did an absolutely fantastic job as expected and he kept my dog very comfortable with his pain management protocol as well as the effective to-go-home medications. We all had a good night's sleep and that first night or two can be the toughest. Whether your vet knows or doesn't know Dr. Farrell and your pret needs a surgery beyond their capability, consider seeing Dr. Farrell and the Animal Outpatient Surgery of San Diego. You will find their prices very competitive and their compassion and bed side manner out of this world! Kudos to the whole team!!

Dr. Ferrell and the staff at Animal Outpatient Surgery are amazing! They are honest, patient and informative during the surgery consult. They are extremely thorough with post-op instructions and follow up. We’ve used them twice in the last year for our dog (splenectomy and surgery for torn CCL). Even though we love them, we hope we don’t need to visit again - LOL. I do not hesitate in recommending them and would not hesitate in taking our furry family member back.

Searched on Google and Yelp for an orthopedic surgeon after one of my pups tore her CCL. Based on the great reviews, I decided to call. Spoke with Tina and she was calm, patient and informative, answered my questions and explained everything well. Tori also took really good care of us in the office. Our consultation was with Dr. Farrell, while enthusiastic is very caring and comforting. He thoroughly explained the recommended procedure of TPLO surgery including any complications and aftercare and put my mind at ease. While he wasn’t the surgeon that performed her surgery, he had assured me of the other incredible surgeons on staff. I believe Dr. Waypart performed her surgery with Christopher assisting. They did a beautiful job. Christopher and Katie walked me through her puppy PT and took care of her post op procedures. The entire staff is wonderful! Whenever I had questions or concerns they quickly responded. We are 9 weeks post op and our girl is happily walking over 2 1/2 miles daily, running and bouncing around with our other pup. We are truly grateful for their level of care and abilities. I highly recommend Animal Outpatient Surgery of SD.

I am so pleased with Abby's results of her TPLO Surgery. She healed very quickly and after 2 months she was discharged by Dr. Farrell. Another important reason for Blue Sky Veterinary getting 5 stars is that they don't "rip you off." The results were phenomenal and the staff explained exactly what to expect. Very knowledgeable. I highly recommend Blue Sky for orthopedic surgical needs for your pets.

I was reluctant to use this hospital for my dog’s cruciate ligament knee injury. My vet had recommended them but my fear was it was same day out-patient surgery. Not being a veterinarian myself, I was very fearful of not being able to take care of her the first night. Well, it turned out to be a wonderful place to take my dog. From the minute I met the staff and Dr. Farrell, I was impressed. Everyone from Tina to Chris to Tori to Dr. Farrell(hope I’m not forgetting anyone)was warm and friendly and informative and patient! My 9 year old dog is running around again like a 2 year old. I highly recommend them.

Very pleased with Dr Farrell and staff!! They were referred by Dr Klaus with BetterVet, a mobile vet service. Champ, a 10 yr old very large (125 lb) rescued retriever mix, has anxiety and needed a quiet easy going practice. We found that here. Champ had surgery to remove a growth from his foot, which came back as melanoma. A second surgery was done to remove a toe, and Champ is now cancer free! We are very grateful to Dr Farrell and all the staff for taking such good care of our sometimes hard to handle big boy.

My Shepard mix, Perdix, had luxating patella on both her knees. Dr. Farrell and his team took care of her right leg (worse) first & then when her left leg showed worsening they fixed that one too.For both surgeries Dr. Farrell walked me through exactly what to would occur during surgery & what to expect afterward. Chris was amazing walking me through how to help Perdix heal and give her at home physical therapy. Tori and Tina were so sweet keeping me updated on my girl during each surgery.The whole staff here is wonderful, kind, sincere & truly cares for your pet. Very thankful for their help getting Perdix back to her old energetic self!

I rarely write reviews, but this team deserves an immense amount of credit. I want to thank Dr. Farrell and the wonderful team of Tina, Katie, Chris and Tori. Our rescue cat Wiley had a freak accident where he fell and broke all his paw bones on his right front foot. I took him to a local vet who said all they could do was wrap his paw and hope for the best. After a few weeks, they said the only option was amputation of his entire leg. We couldn’t imagine doing this. So, after calling multiple places to see what else could be done, I found Animal Outpatient Surgery and we are so grateful for them. Dr. Farrell was honest and clear about the risks, but Wiley went through surgery, putting pins in his tiny claws. He wore a bandage that he was not happy about, and he tore it off a couple of times. Katie, Chris and Tina were there every time I had to come in and get him re-bandaged. They were so willing to help me with my schedule, and Tina answered my early morning calls, when we would find that Wiley had pulled off his bandage once again. They kept in contact with me and responded to my calls almost immediately, can you believe this? This was a costly endeavor, but Wiley is worth it. Dr. Farrell and Tina clearly told us what it would cost and it was very reasonable. We were given one price and that was it, nothing more. This healing took weeks, but Wiley is now walking, with virtually no indication of his accident. I really thought he would probably limp for the rest of his life, but he is walking and running normally, and continuing to get into trouble, thus his name Wiley. I can’t believe that someone else would have amputated his entire leg! Thank you Chris, Tina, and Katie who cared so much for Wiley. And of course Dr. Farrell for saving Wiley’s leg!!

I had a great experience with Dr. Farrell and his team. I won't hesitate to bring another pet to him for future surgeries. My cat urgently needed hip/leg surgery (FHO, femoral head removal). He went from seemingly fine, to a pretty bad limp, to screaming on the floor unable to walk within a week. Our primary vet was booking surgeries three weeks out. We were extremely lucky and Dr. Farrell had an opening for the next day. The phone communication with Tina and Tori was outstanding and the team made us feel very comfortable when we dropped off our cat; Dr. Farrell took the time to answer all of our questions and explained the surgery in detail. The follow up visit and rapid response to our questions during recovery was much appreciated. They have given my cat a second chance at a high quality life.

I am a local small animal veterinarian that owned my own practice in San Diego for over 20 years. I've used Dr. Farrel's mobile services for my clients hundreds of times over the years with excellent outcomes. In the past 3 months I've taken two of my dogs in for surgery. One large breed dog for a TPLO who recovered quickly and was fully weight bearing within 3 days. My next dog needed her spleen removed. The surgery went extremely well. The staff is personable, caring and skilled. The facility is immaculate. Excellent place to bring your pet for competent care.

100% positive experience for us and our dog. We really enjoyed the fact that they take their time to explain everything to you instead of just rushing through everything. They made sure we understood everything. The support post surgery was amazing. Any questions were answered immediately. We would definitely recommend to everyone.

The staff is outstanding. Rocco has extreme anxiety with the Vet and all were so patient with him. The eye surgery is a complete success and we know that now he can see out of his eye. Dr. Farrell and his team are truly some of the best in the industry. He answered all our questions and made us aware of all options going into our dogs bladder surgery. He is very passionate about what he does and it definitely shows. The employees all were very happy and helpful throughout the whole process and made it extremely easy. Nicest people you could ever meet. Our puppy is less than 1 year old and was dealing with a rare issue that required a specialist. They treated her with so much care and made her feel safe. Her issue hasn't come back and they followed up after to check in on her. They took care of us and our little puppy and I'm grateful for that. Take your fur family here. You won't regret it

I called Blue Sky Veterinary Services at the recommendation of a friend. I am so glad I did! My dog needed knee surgery and other veterinary hospitals wouldn’t even get him in for a consult for weeks. We had a consult at Blue Sky within a few days and scheduled surgery shortly after that. Their price for the surgery was very reasonable and fair.My big boy is a handful and has some anxiety issues. The staff at Blue Sky took wonderful care of him, understood his needs and did everything in their power to keep him as comfortable as possible. Surgery went perfectly and the staff made sure we knew what to expect as far as aftercare, etc. I’ve been extremely happy with the entire experience with Blue Sky and would definitely recommend them (and already have to several dog parents.) I’m very thankful I found Dr Ferrell and his excellent team.

Dr. Farrell and his team are the best! From the very first phone call to the last follow up visit, this wonderful group of people have been amazing. My 9 year old boxer had knee surgery and they took excellent care of him. There were some challenges during the healing process but Dr. Farrell knew what to do to get my dog back on track to a successful recovery. Everyone was patient, kind, and caring. They were responsive, professional, and very helpful. I highly recommend Dr. Farrell and his team!

Everyone has been so kind and loving to Ollie. I’m sure they make everyone’s pet feel the same way, but Ollie was so happy to be with the crew. When I take him to our neighborhood vet who are also great, Ollie has to be dragged in there. But when he comes here he is so happy.Everything was explained in great detail and my questions and concerns were answered. I can even text with them for immediate response.Ollie is recovering nicely. He should be back to his regular swag soon. Thank you. You guys are awesome!

I am forever grateful to Dr. Farrell and his assistant Tina for saving my dog's life. I have an enormous amount of grattitude for the work they do. When other veterinarians wanted the world from us and it was out of our reach. They came through for at least half of what was asked of us elsewhere. We were told by other vet's that Lucy would only have a 50/50 chance of making it out of surgery alive. My life wouldn't be the same without Lucy. Her life was spared the day they operated on her and I'll never forget it as long as I live. I will always recommend their services to my friend's, family and loved one's seeking assistance with their fur babies.

I don't even know where to begin with this review because there is so much GOODNESS to share!!!These guys are without a doubt, the best veterinary clinic I have ever been to. I consider them family now because of what they did for Olive. About two weeks ago, my little girl Olive, decided to climb a tree (she thinks she is a cat) and dislocated her hip. I took her straight to my local vet who informed me that she needed surgery. I called a few places, getting more and more discouraged at the lack of communication, and honesty about pricing...Was I really about to spend 6K on an emergency surgery? 6k that I do not have? I felt at a loss and completely guilt ridden.But then.... I called Blue Sky and they got back to me RIGHT AWAY (we are talking within minutes) not only did they get back to me, but the DOCTOR called me himself. We were on the phone for about 30-45 minutes. Paul instantly made me feel comfortable, assured, and informed. We went through the details of the accident, what needed to happen, the x-rays from my vet, etc. He gave me his full attention. The accident occurred on Thursday, and Olive was in surgery by Friday at 10AM. They even moved a few things around in order to see her. Again.. impressed.As soon as I walked into the door of the office, I felt at ease. Tina greeted me with a big smile (I was a wreck because Olive was in so much pain.) She made me feel better right away and was attentive to both of us. Tina sent me updates throughout the surgery (let me know when she was going into anesthesia, when she was coming out, etc) Again.. this is so unheard of in todays world that I was just in continuous awe and felt so comfortable during a very stressful time while I was waiting for her to come out of surgery.Not only that, but they were so incredibly fair with price. We went through each and every item and there was no hidden fee for this, or for that. They truly don't run this place with the "lets make every penny we can" mentality. I am eternally lucky and grateful that I found this place. I want everyone to know about it, because they are saving animals lives with the best of intentions and truly care.THANK YOU PAUL AND TINA!!!! Olive loves you.

Very clean place, positive attitude, highly professional staff, especially Dr Farrell and Dr's assistant Tina. My dog had a knee surgery 2 months ago which was a great success. Affordable prices including free post surgical appointments. Will highly recommend this facility

Dr. Farrell is the most kind and honest vet that I have ever had the pleasure of meeting! I'm so grateful that my usual vet recommended him for my puppy's surgery. In the end, she didn't end up having surgery, which I am so thankful for. While past experiences with vets have unfortunately resulted in unnecessary procedures and costs, Dr. Farrell was certain to avoid anything that wasn't truly needed at this time. His expertise and honesty saved me thousands of dollars, and my puppy is on the road to recovery. Shout out to Tina as well, who works with Dr. Farrell and is also extremely kind and helpful! Both of them went above and beyond to make sure my puppy was taken care of and all of my many questions were thoroughly answered! Thank you again Dr. Farrell and Tina!
